Composite decking is suitable for use around pools and exposed decks
although it is recommended not to have the deck fully submersed in water
for prolonged periods. Composite decking has a very low water absorption
rate but allowing any boards to be ‘sitting in water’ for extended
timeframes will lead to moisture absorption. Like timber decking, good
ventilation and airflow is important for the design of your deck
structure.
